Statistics – Shiny Server

This server is not backed up. It is reconfigured over the summer without notice. After the server is reconfigured; you will have to re-publish you apps once again.

It’s recommended that you utilize GitHub for your ShinyApps to make re-publishing easier.

Instructions

  1. Create a Shiny App using RStudio.
  2. Click File
  3. Click Publish
  4. Click [Next]
  5. Click Posit Connect
  6. Type shiny.stat.ncsu.edu
  7. (Web Browser Opens) Login: CAMPUSID/Password
  8. Click Connect
  9. [Alt][Tab] To return to RStudio
  10. Enable Automated Crash Reporting [No]
  11. Click [Connect Account]
  12. Click [Publish]
  13. (Web Browser should open displaying App)
  14. Click “[*] Anyone – no login required” – Right Side
  15. Path /{UNITYID}/{AppName}
  16. Click [Save]
  17. Click [Copy] (Content URL)
  18. Open new tab and Paste (Ctrl-V)
  19. Share your published link with users or link off personal web page.
